| Sz L. Not an NHL jersey, but a very neat piece nonetheless. This jersey was
used in promoting the return of the Senators to Ottawa, before they came up
with their Centurion logo. Not 100% sure of the exact origin of this jersey,
but it's silk-screened "#1 Royal Bank" on the back, and "Ottawa Senators" on
the front. Adding to this shirt value, it's a g-e-n-u-i-n-e
Trevor Boicey game-worn jersey. A
few stick and puck marks, and a prominent ketchup mark attest to this jersey's
origin. Do not look for Trevor's stats on
Hockey DB. A little snug from washings (thankfully!).
Thanks Trev! More info : Here's the story of the logo. Trevor forwarded this
information to me found in a usenet post dated December 6 1990
"the logo contains the words Ottawa Senators, with the two t's in
the word Ottawa forming an outline of the Peace Tower, which rises
from the central block of the Canadian Parliament buildings. Both
the clock in the peace tower and the Canadian flag atop it are
depicted. Team colours, I believe, are Red, White, and Black."
Here is the
entire post.
